Fall Pictures in a Blur

We spent our fall traveling, but that is a whole other post. We also got out on some hikes, went apple picking, went on a leaf hunt and then dipped our leaves in beeswax. We strung our leaves to make a garland for our mantle and kitchen light fixture. (apparently, the leaves will keep their colors once dipped). We baked Halloween cookies, carved a pumpkin, and enjoyed the lovely season of fall by spending hours on the soccer field and flag football field. Whew.....is it winter yet?

School days

We went back to school, which for us homeschoolers means morning chores, breakfast, and down to the school room. It is a joy to teach and learn with the kids, and this year we are immersing ourselves in Ancient Greece. I tried an apple print project with the little ones....and if you look carefully you can see how it "rolls" here in the Kelty house. Yes, Max mixed all his primary colors of paint into a lovely brown. Then he painted his apple....and ate it. Yes paint and all. No real prints were made, only a "Max mess".

He Turns 2!

My how time flies. Max turned two in the middle of August and enjoyed a small, family party. We enjoy all his funny antics, usually involving weapons or simply tagging along with his siblings. He wants in on the action all the time. He loved his fall spent at the ball fields. He tells us all kinds or stories and has finally realized Mrs. Kelty is Grandma, not a Grandpa. He loves to snuggle, read, and yes....make lots of messes. He keeps us smiling....but always on our toes. What a joy to watch him grow!

Back to Front or Front to Back

I'll try to take up from where I left off and do a quick update on the fall. All hopes to be more efficient and punctual here, but doubtful!
