Clampet-style Christmas

Okay folks.....let's pretend there are 15 days of Christmas instead of 12, and then this post won't be so terribly late. Now hum that familiar tune to the "Beverly Hillbillys" while admiring the picture of our car on our return trip from our Christmas adventure. The car looked relatively normal on the leg from Cleveland to Charleston, but there it got well....it got like this. We had a car top carrier full of gifts and luggage, 3 kids, a dog, "car entertainment" for the kids, snacks, and adults in the car...and then the motherload. We got a backyard playset from friends in Charleston. They were happy to be rid of it, while we were happy to take it. The car...not so happy, as the windshield cracked a bit at tie-down time. We made it home safe and sound after a long drive (the supposed 7 hours turned to 11 as I-95 was a parking lot). However, we made many folks chuckle and stare and the rest stops! Again, Merry Christmas!
